Jambo Jipya A New Dawn
The Party
FORD Asili is one of the liberation parties in our country and has for 34 years remained committed to aspirations of Kenyans and active witness to political developments, some of which continue to bedevil our country to this day since 1961. It is unfortunate that Kenyas’ two generations since, have constantly remained hopeful that things will be better; but, have never been. Most political parties formed as patriotic forums for peoples’ power, mutate from hope creators to self-seeking groups because Kenyans do not take time to know and understand their leaders, most of whom behave and act like flags in the wind.
Hope almost absent
Hope for Kenyans has been fading as generations disagree on the kind of society we should mould and create. Intergenerational interaction and working together has totaly been curtailed largely because social institutions have broken down. Families, schools and faith-based institutions have become poor shadows of themselves, and are not able to complement the efforts of parents in child rearing.
Education curricula were developed to create a knowledge wedge between and among Kenyan generations instead of preparing them for their future. Those of Common Entrance, KAPE, English medium, and cambridge systems of 1940s, 1950s and early 1960s, cannot agree with those of the, CPE and the New mathematics systems which were totally in variance with 8-4-4. We do not think reverting back to the old mathematics and introducing the CPC will change the situation. Kenyans are always at life’s crossroad. The government played in the hands of our enemies and doomed the people, deliberately to create opportunity for foreigners and damn Kenyans, for foreigners to rule over us for centuries and, leave us to fate. Our people can only fit in small jobs here and elsewhere, nothing better.
Our reflection is that Education system in this country is part of the wider but deliberate scheme to manipulate, deprive and deny our people the right path to knowledge. No wonder, individuals and to a large extent families have been affected by lack of basic guidance, to know what to do with their children and personal lives. Kenya has become an industry for doom dreams which some people attribute to societal weaknesses due to lack of patriotic guidance and leadership. However, we must say here that a society can only produce its worth and leaders reflect it. Kenyans dismiss liberators and patriots and jump onto pretenders, hypocrites and usurpers. We call on Kenyans to change their attitudes. By the way, because of our attitudes, no sector in this country operates to satisfaction
Politics and leadership
Foreign powers conspire to manipulate and deprive the country of resources, knowledge and opportunities, through greedy leaders, over powered by insatiable appetites for power and accumulation, and who in that state, can only say yes to anything, for more. It is those same foreign powers who conspire with government to create situations that appear to be democratic by forming groups to appear to oppose each other, and, are paid for that pose. Our history is telling us that since 1948 when Jaramogi Oginga Odinga was introduced to Jomo Kenyatta by Achieng Oneko, the two sides started forming and the western manipulators never wasted time to pity the two leaders stealthily against each other and with that, they proclaim Kenya to be a growing and promising democracy. Well, is this so?
This has further been perfected over time, and so, the group in power, works through an established formula which creates confusion by splitting itself every electoral season to form some kind of opposing sides so that after elections, the losers are welcomed back home to obstruct emergence of leaderships capable of changing neo colonial narratives. It has disappointed Kenyans and made them to give up on leaders and elections because they eventually abandon them and the course, they believe in. It also discourages patriotic leadership because of the immorality practised and employed.
Those who claim to be people’s leaders are actually in the market place negotiating for better prices as they prepare for their way back home. This has happened since 1961. In fact, the current leaders in both government and opposition are actively involved in this mischief because they are the same group, created by same tools, mentored by same people, for the same ambition and intention; to rule Kenya for not less than one century.
Observe this, because of utter lack of maturity and national agenda and other life discourses, our leaders simply jump at each other with insults. Ooh, how our society has sunk so low, in a backward and primitive manner as to be so careless in public, even to insult one another on national television and radio networks as our children and grandchildren helplessly watch. Let the leaders spare us that psychological pain to be worthy of our humanity. Those insults are not music to our ears, they sound like uttered by some hopeless and lost fellows, throwing words like from drunken and frustrated delinquents along impassable and dilapidated street in a violent and insecure neighbourhood, angered by lack of basics. Hawatoshi !
Kenyans have to appreciate that, our party is a liberation party that has survived torments, and witnessed a lot. We have been around since proposing multiparty politics in 1988; for this country to able to enjoy the freedoms, rights and liberties everybody talks of today. Those who denied us, tortured and excluded us through these years are the rulers today. We have witnessed elimination of gallant fighters and liberators, exile for political giants and unwarranted maiming of many change and revolutionary warriors; while those who insisted against and resisted corruption and other societal evils, are vanquished and excluded, condemned to jails and to fate in their communities.
Owners of Kenya
In the meantime, a few families have conspired to accumulate wealth gotten from anywhere and everywhere, in the hands of 138 known individuals, their families and relatives. In turn and jointly, they recruit their yes men and women to create 30,000 monied individuals who work as their principal agents in the regions. This number then enrols about 10 dependants from every ethnic group to be their top propagandist and who share the spoils from our coffers and distribute them according to their liking and choosing. All these people are ready 24/7 to betray Kenyans for anything, anywhere and anytime, for whatever… And, do not care about the plight of Kenyans. Those are the owners of the Kenyan economy. God and His people, have a job to do.
